Our home advice visit

The home advice booking is made on the understanding this meeting is an initial conceptual meeting to last between 30 - 60 minutes where the client provides us (the contractor) with a brief overview of what they are looking to undertake.

If the client has any drawings, images prefered materials, colours and themes you would like to incorporate please share this information for discussion.

During the home advice meeting we (the contractor) will talk thru any ideas from the client, make suggestions and look at design options plus material and product options taking into consideration the ground levels, soil conditions, light, drainage all upon visual inspection only. We will look to take some measurements at this point.

The client is to notify us of any known hazards or obstructions which are not discoverable upon visual inspection of the surface.

Depending on the complextivity the project this meeting could potentially be the first of a few meetings required to determine the scope. Any specialist experts that may be required to carry out in depth site survey or technical or legal design elements of the plans e.g. structural engineer, surveyor etc shall be engaged in agreement with the client and agreement for payment for the costs relating to their specialist services agreed prior to engagement.

The fee for our home advice service is £95 + VAT for upto 1 hour on site. Meetings are scheduled between 9am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday. We work on a 25 minute journey travel time from our offices in Hertford. Outside of this radius please check before purchasing as depending on journey time may attract an extra charge.

Upon receipt of payment you will be emailed with a meeting booking date/time within 7/14 days. Acceptance of this booking deems confirmation of booking and terms and conditions.

If you fail to attend the agreed meeting time without notifying us by phone call (telephone number is provided upon booking) at least (six) 6 hours prior to meeting the charge will remain and no refund given. If you wish to amend your booking and provide us with adequate notice to do so either by email to hello@robinsons.ltd or text message to telephone number is provided upon booking, we will endeavour to accommodate a new meeting date within 7/14 days of the rescheduling day.

After the meeting you will be sent further information, this will be dependent on what was agreed, it could be

• product samples
• product brochures
• general advice, suggestions, ideas
• a quotation
• Project photos and summary of similar projects undertaken

This meeting does not include scaled drawings, planting plans. We can provide this for a fee, available upon request.
